Database Structure
PK designates a primary key field
Data Type definitions
- int - integer, may need to be "long" depending on database. It should correspond
to the java "int" primitive type.
- bit - tiny integer or boolean data type. It should store 0/1. A database integer
data type will work if a bit type is unavailable.
- varchar(#) - variable length character field with maximum length #. This would be a
varchar in Oracle or SQL Server, Text in Access, etc. It should correspond to the java
"String" object.
- char - field to hold a single character, may be varchar(1), char, char(1), etc. It
should correspond to the java "char" primitive type.
- datetime - field that can hold date and time information. It should correspond to
the java "Date" object.
- double - high precision decimal number field. It should correspond to the
java "double" primitive type
